We are pleased to welcome our new Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, Mr. Skorpanich. In his new role Skorpanich will serve as SIATech’s Chief Human Resources Officer, overseeing anything and everything related to personnel including but not limited to hiring, dismissal, salary placement, benefits, evaluations, and employee morale.
“I believe that human resources should be the heart of any organization. As a result, I will strive to establish and maintain very clear processes in all aspects of personnel administration. I want our staff to feel comfortable contacting any human resources representative and know they will be treated with empathy and kindness,” said Skorpanich.
Skorpanich has been an educator for nearly 30 years and has worked as a classroom teacher, school principal and for the past 11 years, he has served as an HR professional. Prior to coming to SIATech Skorpanich served as the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources of the Perris Union High School District. Skorpanich shared that this gave him the opportunity to oversee personnel functions of the California Military Institute, a public charter school.
This past year Skorpanich was recognized for his “strong and supportive leadership” as the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Personnel/Human Resources Administrator of the Year!
Skorpanich shared that he is a first generation American and understands the great efforts our students make when they choose to go back to high school. “Both of my parents immigrated into the United States after World War II. Additionally, both of my parents were English Learners. My father dropped out of high school, but later obtained his high school diploma through an alternative route, much like our students,” said Skorpanich.
In his free time Skorpanich enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, sailing, watching sports, and playing golf.
“I am excited about being part of SIATech and I look forward to meeting each of our amazing team members,” said Skorpanich.
