On Thursday, September 19th Community Schools Engagement Coordinator Mr. Martinez, and Indio Site Leader Ms. De La Cruz were given the opportunity to participate in the 29th Valley Wide Employment Expo.
The annual event took place at Fantasy Spring Special Event Center in Indio, California hosting over 90 employers and over 700 signed up participants searching for a job. The event was sponsored by AIS, Altura, City of Indio, County of Riverside-DPSS, Employer Advisory Council, KESQ, One Future Coachella Valley, Riverside County-Workforce Development, and many more.
Martinez works closely with local community partners in the Coachella Valley, a member of the Riverside County Workforce Development Center, Jason Tang then invited SIATech to participate in the event for free and were even offered a free booth to table.
“I was able to network, and connect with many people to bring more opportunities to our students,” said Martinez.
In addition, Martinez and De La Cruz were able to promote SIATech and share job openings. Overall this event was a success as our team members were able to build relationships and connections to better support our students and staff. It was also a great opportunity to promote our schools and the great work they do!
