SIATech Sacramento Job Corps Students Make Positive Impact on Topics Surrounding Mental Health

SIATech Sacramento Job Corps students are actively working to destigmatize Mental Health on campus and within their communities. Thank you to Principal Terena Small for sharing this news.

Whether that be through participating in mental health workshops, clubs, or raising awareness.

Last week 30 students from the SCJC site's Mental Wellness Club collaborated with The Mantis Project and The Center of Collaborative Planning (CCP) to positively influence their community.

According to the organization's website the CCP was co-founded in 1994 and "is a woman of color led organization dedicated to growing the capacity of communities to shape, influence, and lead social change to improve health and equity in California."

The students worked with the organizations to create impactful art that depicts encouraging and powerful messages. Their work is now being displayed in the academic hallways of the Sacramento Job Corps Center.
