On Thursday, October 31 SIATech North County (NCIS) hosted a Back-to-School Community Barbeque.
Mentor Teacher Lisa Nichols and Graduate Capri took on the responsibility of grilling and served up some delicious burgers and hot dogs.
Wings, cornbread and baked beans with bacon were also decadently prepared. Along with dessert, side and salads from Mentor Teacher Amanda Roletti and students.
With it being Halloween, spooky decorations were a must. Student Engagement Specialist Flor Delgado and Mentor Teacher Sonia Godinez set the mood and filled the room with spiders and webs.
CTE Teacher Tom Healy even utilized the 3D printer to create skulls and ghosts figurines for the tables. Students also engaged in some fun and participated in a costume contest.
Overall students had a "spooktacular" time engaging in fun activities, savory food and great company.
Thank you to NCIS Principal, Craig Lewis for sharing this with us and to the entire NCIS team for always going the extra mile for our students!
