Earlier this month, SIATech Indio, Moreno Valley, and Perris took a field trip to the Live Oak Canyon Pumpkin Farm. This was a Work Based Learning opportunity for students to observe a seasonal small business in operation. On Wednesday, October 30, SIATech Indio hosted a Family Night where students, prospective students, and their families gathered for food, refreshments, community resources, games, prizes and to gain more information on how the site operates. On Thursday, September 19th Community Schools Engagement Coordinator Mr. Martinez, and Indio Site Leader Ms. De La Cruz were given the opportunity to participate in the 29th Valley Wide Employment Expo. The annual event took place at Fantasy Spring Special Event Center in Indio, California hosting over 90 employers and over 700 signed up participants searching for See The Story
On August 14th, 2024, the Moreno Valley and Indio Independent Study Sites teamed up to visit the The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture in Riverside. The museum is a collaboration between the Riverside Art Museum and actor Cheech Marin, one of the world’s major collectors of Chicano art. This private-collection-gone-public gives the See The Story

On Tuesday March 26, 2024, a total of 65 SIATech students were hosted by Mt. San Jacinto College for a day of empowerment and career exploration. Each of the SIATech independent study campuses sent students and staff to attend the SIATech Youth Summit. The day had student and staff representatives from the SIATech high school See The Story
SIATech high schools and central office will be closed in celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday. Our campuses and offices will be closed from November 20, 2023 – November 24, 2023, reopening on Monday, November 27, 2023. We wish everyone a wonderful holiday break!

Student Voting Matters! Are you registered to vote? Many students are new to voting and aren’t aware of the process. In 2008, 21% of young people ages 18-29 said they weren’t registered to vote because they missed the registration deadline. 6% said they didn’t know where or how to register.
