SIATech’s LCAP provides actions and metrics around three of the school’s primary goals. It is a living document that is in a process of continuous improvement. We would like to hear from students, staff, and parents on the LCAP. Attached are presentation slides that explain SIATech’s progress and accountability metrics based on these recent updates. SIATech received the final presentation by the AdvancED Review Team today. The organization was commended for meeting the rigorous requirements of this prestigious full-accreditation recognition and will recommended for accreditation to the AdvancEd Accreditation Commission. The accreditation applies to SIATech as an organization as well as all MYcroSchool and SIATech schools in its network. Leonard See The Story
The Gallup Student Poll measures hope, engagement, entrepreneurial aspiration, and career/financial literacy. SIATech administered the poll in Fall 2015 along with more than 800,000 other high school students nationwide. SIATech students frequently give higher responses than student responses in the nationwide sample. A recent order in a lawsuit against the California Department of Education (CDE) is impacting all schools across the state, including SIATech. In April 2012, two organizations, the Morgan Hill Concerned Parents Association and the Concerned Parent Association, filed a lawsuit against the CDE alleging widespread, systemic non-compliance by local education agencies with special education See The Story
by Ernie Silva The School for Integrated Academics and Technologies (SIATech) is California’s first dropout recovery school to adopt UC approved a-g courses available to all students. UC utilizes “a-g” subject requirements to ensure that students have attained a body of general knowledge that will provide breadth and perspective to new, more advanced study. To See The Story
