On Thursday, September 19, SIATech East LA hosted their Back to School event.
The site kicked off its event by welcoming students, families, and community members to a meet and greet of the staff.
Attendees were able to enjoy some delicious, homemade or rather school-made tacos, beans, rice, and guacamole. The feast was cooked and prepared by the Associated Student Body (ASB).
Guests then played games, engaged in discussions with staff and members of The Action Project. The nonprofit organization supports system-impacted youth by inspiring community leadership and social justice advocacy.
Overall, the event was a great success! Shout out to Principal, Mr. Gallardo, East LA staff and students for putting together such a wonderful event.
