Not sure how to schedule an orientation? Submit an interest form to be connected with campus information and our upcoming orientation calendars!

Why Attend a Prospective Student Orientation at SIATech

SIATech’s new student orientations are key to understanding how it all works. At a prospective student orientation students will meet with our school staff, take a tour of the school, and learn all about what makes our schools unique. New student orientations are designed to equip students with the best introduction to our high school program and they give our team a chance to meet the student and understand their individual needs. We keep it low pressure. There is no obligation to enroll at our schools during a new student orientation. However, if a student is interested, this is the time when a student can enroll in our high school, should they choose to do so.

Why Aren’t There More Dates Available in the Orientation Calendar?

SIATech high schools enroll students year round. As students graduate from our program more spaces become available. Because of our strong reputation, years of experience, and flexible approach to high school graduation, SIATech campuses are very popular. As a result, our prospective student orientation appointments fill up quickly. But do not worry if your orientation date seems far out. It actually gives students more time to get ready to enroll in our school which can be a good thing.

What Can I Do While I Wait?

If your SIATech high school new student orientation date is a few weeks away, here are a few things you can do to ensure you are prepared. (Important: You can still attend your school site visit without these items, so don’t worry if it is time to visit us and you don’t have all this paperwork. We can help walk you through the steps to obtain these items.)

The most important things to do to prepare for your orientation are to ensure you have transportation as well as to gather all necessary paperwork. For transportation, look up where the school is and identify public transportation or personal transportation to the school site. You’ll find the addresses on the locations page of this website. You can also text or call us at (888) 621-0309 if you are not sure how to get to our campus. Plan to arrive 15 minutes early in order to find the school site, park, and walk to our front door where you’ll be greeted by a friendly staff member.

Paperwork Needed to Enroll at SIATech High Schools

Having these documents before your orientation allows for a smooth transition and prevents any potential delays in the enrollment process. If you are looking to enroll as soon as possible, having these documents ready to go will help.

    • Transcripts from previous schools: Our schools want to transfer as many credits earned as possible. Transcripts allow our team to give students credit for the classes they’ve already taken, giving students the opportunity to focus on the classes they do need.
    • Proof of address: In accordance with California Education Code, proof of address must be established prior to enrollment at SIATech. Students and their parents can show proof of address by providing one piece of documentation from the list seen at this link
    • Any IEP or 504 plans (if applicable). If you aren’t sure what these are, the article “Parents’ guide to 504 plans and IEPs: What they are and how they’re different” from EdSource provides an excellent overview of these documents that support accommodations for students who have special needs.
    • If you are a minor, you will need to bring your yellow card or other vaccination record (only applies to students who are 16-17 years old). SIATech high schools are California public schools, and therefore we are obligated to ensure that all minors bring a copy of vaccination records. Try the California Digital Vaccine Record website if you can’t find our yellow card to see if you can access your records. We can also help direct enrolling students who are under 18 to medical providers to help bring vaccinations up-to-date.
