Ms. Evangelista has over 14 years of experience as an educator in the K-12 setting, supporting students’ and parents’ needs as a Teacher, Lead School Counselor, Foster Homeless Liaison, and Online School Counselor. Ms. Evangelista holds a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) School Counseling credential and a Preliminary Administrative Credential.
As Lead School Counselor, she oversaw counseling services, collaborated with Lead Counselors throughout the regions, and created partnerships within the local community. Ms. Evangelista has extensive experience leading suicide and crisis training, facilitating the Parent Advisory Council, overseeing PLCs, and establishing student groups such as Mindful Mondays and the LGBTQIA+ student club. She also led a Virtual Wellness Fair open to all students, faculty, and parents.
Ms. Evangelista understands the importance of building solid connections with all school personnel. A school site is more than just an academic setting; instead, it is a haven for our students and families and an approachable resource to all. She enjoys spending time with her family and dog, hiking, attending concerts, reading, and practicing meditation. Ms. Evangelista is happy to step into the role of Student Wellness Coordinator and looks forward to supporting SIATech’s staff and students.
