On Thursday, November 21, SIATech North County celebrated Friendsgiving with staff and students and special guest, Wellness Coordinator Maricella Evangelista.
There was a lot of food and NCIS expressed how grateful they were for the contributions from so many. "It was a truly thankful and thanks filled day," said NCIS Principal Craig Lewis.
NCIS has formed many partnerships over the years such as Jimbo's and Lazy Acres whose generous donations contributed greatly to this event.
NCIS Mentor Teacher, Lisa Nichols prepared a delicious Spatchcock Turkey while Mentor Teacher, Sonia Godniez provided a variety of savory dishes.
In addition to good food, students were also provided with a wellness activity. Maricella met with students on-on-one and in small groups throughout the day and provided them with more information on CalKIDS.
The day concluded with some ALS fun, Pictionary, Pie and Whipped Cream. Overall it was a day filled with fun and gratitude.
