We are pleased to inform you that our latest Staff Spotlight nominee is SIATech Perris ITA Ms. Allen. A colleague shared that she began her SIATech journey this year as an ITA and has been a great fit as she is a quick learner and the first friendly face people see.

“Ms. Allen is the happiest person I’ve met.  She’s always so positive and just a joy to be around.  Even when things get hectic, she is willing to help others.  She’s also a go-getter.  She doesn’t hesitate to reach out for help in order to make sure she’s doing the job right.  She’s taken on many roles that aren’t necessarily ITA related, but does them all with a smile on her face.”

As an ITA, Ms. Allen is responsible for organizing and hosting New Student Orientation(s), assisting students in the enrollment process as well as disenrolling students who: drop, transfer, or graduate. She also maintains accurate records, administers tests, assists co-workers in completing assignments and projects, assists students in their understanding and comprehension of curriculum, and much more.

“Her colleagues are blessed to get to work with her. She has made a positive impact on staff and students due to her positive disposition,” said a colleague.

Ms. Allen earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education / Psychology with a focus on Social & Behavioral Science from California Baptist University.

“As a Site Supervisor for the past (4) years I led a 5-person team of educators enforcing enrollment/registration policies and procedures while supervising the curriculum. My administrative, clerical skills and knowledge of computer software afforded me the opportunity to be an asset to the organization,” said Ms. Allen.

Ms. Allen shared that she chose to pursue her career choice because of her family. “My favorite thing about working at SIATech is the cooperative collaboration of staff to ensure each student succeeds. Also, I like to encourage our students and let them know I believe in them. Education is something no one can take from you,” said Ms. Allen.

A memorable moment for Ms. Allen was during this year’s graduation.  “I love to see how happy our students are from their first day of school and then accomplishing their goal(s),” said Ms. Allen. She went on to say, “I am most proud of being a pivotal asset to the students and ensuring their success.”

Congratulations to Ms. Allen! Thank you for being such a bright light to our students and staff!
