On Thursday, January 23rd everyone’s dream team TV mash-up – NCIS and the FBI - went live at North County Independent Study. We were honored to be joined by a Special Agent from the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s San Diego Field Office.
Our FBI Special Agent guest presenter, who shall remain anonymous, provided a morning extravaganza of learning, fun, and adventure. And, to make the morning extra special, we were also joined by Assistant Superintendent for Administrative Services, Ms. Castillo, and Coordinator of Facilities and Operations Mr. Wentz.
The FBI offers a variety of different career paths and entry points. Not every FBI employee is a Special Agent. For example, did you know the FBI has their own in-house Automotive Service Center? For security purposes all FBI operations and services are in-house, automotive, graphic design, communication, analyst, and information technology, to name a few.
Prior to joining the FBI as a Special Agent our guest presenter shared that she worked as an Immigration Attorney and herein she emphasized that the FBI protects ALL people as they serve and defend the Constitution and its ideals.
She was a great presenter and shared good advice about physical fitness, working collaboratively and that drugs have no place in our lives. She went on to stress the importance of working with a goal in mind and a sense of purpose.
She was an inspiration to students and staff. We are not going to show you photos of our presenter, but we will show you photos of some of our students geared up and ready to go. Based on follow-up conversations and questions, a couple of our students already have FBI career aspirations. NCIS FBI – Where Everyone is Special!
