On November 8, 2023, SIATech Moreno Valley Independent Study High School's CTE Department hosted a group of six students on a trip to Moreno Valley College. The visit began with a fun exercise in navigation.
Next, students were given a tour of the campus which included learning about student activities, visiting various location sites, and hearing from campus students and staff.
The MVIS crew ended the day with a picnic at the park where they talked about everything they experienced.
In reflection of the trip, one student wrote, "This whole trip made me feel excited about college." Another student highlighted the outreach center's tour guide, stating, "She told me about the enrollment process and the cost of enrollment. She told me they had the classes I wanted and she was just really nice and overall helpful throughout the tour."
It was a fantastic experience for everyone involved, and the MVIS CTE Department looks forward to more fun, education trips in the future!
As an added bonus to the tour, students also engaged in a hands-on CPR demonstration led by MVC student EMT cadets.
