The current school year of 2018-2019 has provided SIATech Perris’s largest graduating class thus far. This year, one of our graduates, Selena Self, wore graduation cords provided by her tribe, the Choctaw Nation. Selena had emailed her tribal leaders about her upcoming accomplishment.
Selena, and her husband Angel Garcia, both came to SIATech in February 2017. Angel graduated last year. Selena completed 130 credits with SIATech in just two years. Selena and Angel are both excited that together, they have earned their diplomas! They are parents to daughter Zoyla, who is currently age 6. Selena is a proud parent who tells others that their daughter is at the top of her first grade class!
Selena was recognized at the SIATech Perris graduation on May 31, 2019 as the school’s most improved student. Her hard work and perseverance have paid off. Zoyla knew that mommy was getting an award, but it was kept a secret to everyone else until graduation!
