Career Pathways in STEM
The MAPin Design Thinking and STEM Bootcamp was held on June 10th - 14th. Several SIATech San Jose High School students were happy to attend and learn more about careers in STEM, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
SIATech San Jose students completed a boot camp put on by our San Jose partners MAPIn. Many of these students are currently in the Healthcare Career Pathway on the San Jose Job Corps campus. This group had the challenge to help a client with disabilities. The client gave constructive feedback on the prototypes and by the end of the week put on a showcase of their work. Overall the SIATech San Jose students did a great job!
Students were asked what they enjoyed most about the STEM Challenge and it was working as a team to find a solution!
SIATech at San Jose Job Corps is part of a network of California charter high schools focused on helping 16-24 year old students get back in school and back on track to graduation. There is no tuition or fees to attend and students earn a fully accredited high school diploma. Learn more about your local campus at www.siatech.org/enroll.
