On April 5, students and staff from SIATech El Centro, SIATech South Bay, and SIATech North County commuted to Los Angeles for the Youth Leadership Summit Los Angeles (#YLSLosAngeles).

The students were elated to visit one of the SIATech campuses in Los Angeles, SIATech Boyle Heights, and meet fellow SIATech high school students. The group also visited the landmark Union Station to learn about its history and architecture. One of our own students even wowed the crowd with his piano skills in the busy train station.

The highlight of the visit was the Youth Leadership Summit at East Los Angeles Community College. Students attended lectures and workshops in college classrooms and were able to see what it would be like to be a college student while learning about Career Pathways and opportunities. It was a tremendous learning experience and the students were all eager to know when future trips would be announced.
