SIATech offers students a Wellness services to promote mental, physical, and emotional health. We want our students to know we care and support about each of them. At SIATech, we offer mental health counseling, stress management workshops, and wellness activities such as yoga and mindfulness sessions. Students have access to resources that encourage healthy lifestyle choices, coping mechanisms, and help-seeking in times of stress. Through a compassionate and inclusive approach, SIATech’s Wellness Program fosters a supportive environment where students can thrive academically and personally in order to achieve their full potential.

Food Assistance

If you or someone you know is experiencing difficulty with accessing food, please reach out for assistance. 
There are various national, state, and local resources to support you and/or your loved ones. 

Statewide Programs

Cal Fresh: Call 1-877-847-3663.

SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) CalFresh is for people with low-income who meet federal income eligibility rules and want to add to their budget to put healthy and nutritious food on the table.

Woman, Infant, and Children (WIC): Call 1-888-942-9675. WIC is for new mothers, pregnant women, or mothers with children younger than 5 years of age. It can help with nutrition, access to health care, and benefits in buying healthy food.

Mental Health Hotlines & Regional Resources

If you or someone you know are in an emergency situation, please call 9-1-1

If you or someone you know are experiencing thoughts of suicide, having a mental health crisis, experiencing emotional distress, and/or struggling with substance abuse issues, call or text 988 and talk with trained mental health professional 24/7.

If you are a former and/or current youth involved in the Foster Care system and/or you are struggling with a place to live, please reach out to Nicole Taylor (Director of Student Support Services) at nicole.taylor@siatech.org or 760 -519- 3351.
